Growing up on YouTube, you may have heard some of your favorite creators talk about attending Vidcon. It’s THE place to be for social media lovers that spend their days watching other creators online. A place to learn, collaborate, and honestly have the best time ever. Being one of those people that grew up watching creators like Joey Graceffa or Mattpatt. I always look forward to what’s to come for Vidcon. This year, I attended as someone who creates content so I’m bring you along my adventure and filling you in on all things Vidcon and what this week looks like now!

Ever since Tiktok took the internet by storm, We’ve been introduced to a whole new generation on creators. Ranging from ASMR, COSPLAY, DANCING, And honestly whatever someone is passionate about. There’s an audience waiting with open minds. This year at vidcon 2022, is the first time creators will have the chance to meet in person and meet their supporters. One of my favorite things about this convention is to at not only is it fun, but as a creator you can learn more about content, how to be authentic, and domino are your niche to the best of your ability. There’s workshops and panels available for you to checkout and hear directly from those creators you look up to! I checked out a few panels myself which were really helpful and left me feeling inspired. One of my favorites was one moderated by Tiktok executive Kudzi Chikumbu alongside Drew Afualo, Robert T Lucas, and Johnny Morales which spoke all about the different types of communities you create content for. I was really inspired and connected a lot to Johnny as were both Mexican American creators hoping to push culture forward through entertainment and art.

I hung out with creator Natalia Seth and she took us behind the scene on her panel, Here’s the rundown!

The audience consisted of artist, young and old and creatives, who were inspired by Natalia’s art. This panel was all about creating art with Photoshop and how to translate that into content. As a creative myself, I found this really inspiring because she really gave us all her tips and secrets that you don’t get from her content online. I think this panel alone was so worth attending the convention that day and it really got me excited to go back home and create. After Natalia wrapped up her session with a LIVE Q&A where you get to ask anything you’d like, she took photos and met supporters from all across the country. It was a magical moment to see and she was so excited to be there. That’s something I noticed form creators attending. They were all really genuinely excited to be there and it goes to show how important a convention like this is, and what it can mean to first GEN creatives. They were all really genuinely excited to be there and it goes to show how important a conventional like this is, and what it can mean to first GEN creatives.

SPOTIFY Put on a concert for attendees! You got to see artist like Kira Kosarin from Nickelodeon’s Thundermans, and SZA. Which is my personal favorite artist!! This was SUCH a cool ad on to the convention aspect of it all!!

Not only is convention super informative, but the creators have a chance to collaborate on each other for the first time which was very fun to witness as well. I got to meet a lot of friends that I knew from online for years and here are a few photos of those moments at parties and functions that happened during Vidcon weekend.I got to meet a lot of friends that I knew from online for years and hereNot only is a convention super informative, but the creators have a chance to collaborate on each other for the first time which was very fun to it Ness as well

VIDCON 2022 what’s honestly such a fun week. I am super excited to see where the convention goes and even more happy that it was back for a 11th anniversary. As someone who watches contact creators online, I would definitely recommend checking that VIDCON out when you get a chance. It’s honestly a life-changing experience for people like us.
